1 · Agent relationship
Data Plus LLC (“Data Plus”) is an independent sales agent of Card Connect, LLC, a registered Independent Sales Organization (ISO) and Merchant Service Provider (MSP) of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (Concord, California) and Fifth Third Bank, N.A. (Cincinnati, Ohio). Card Connect is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc.
Data Plus is not a bank, is not a card network, and does not itself underwrite, process, or settle card transactions. Card Connect and its sponsor banks underwrite the merchant account, process the transactions, and settle funds to the merchant's designated bank.
2 · Card Connect Merchant Terms
All merchant services offered through Data Plus are governed by the Card Connect Merchant Agreement, the operating rules of Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, and applicable US federal and state law. By signing a merchant agreement with Data Plus, the merchant enters into a direct contractual relationship with Card Connect and its sponsor banks.
A copy of the complete Card Connect Merchant Agreement is provided prior to signing and is available on request from [email protected].
3 · Processing rates
Customized processing rates are subject to underwriting, monthly transaction volume, card-brand interchange schedules, and merchant category code (MCC). Data Plus does not guarantee specific processing rates and does not publish a fixed rate card.
Card-brand interchange schedules are updated by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express on a quarterly basis. Pass-through interchange and assessments are not subject to negotiation by Data Plus or Card Connect; only the processor margin and agent residual portion of the effective rate are quoted by Data Plus.
4 · PCI DSS compliance
Card Connect is certified PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of merchant data security certification administered by the PCI Security Standards Council. Merchants who accept payment cards through Card Connect remain responsible for their own PCI compliance attestations (Self-Assessment Questionnaires).
Use of the Card Connect tokenizer iframe (CardSecure) typically reduces the merchant's PCI scope to SAQ A. Data Plus will assist with selection and completion of the appropriate SAQ as part of onboarding.
5 · Privacy
Data Plus collects business and contact information submitted through this website and merchant statements submitted for the purpose of providing a written quote. This information is shared only with Card Connect's underwriting team and is not sold, traded, or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.
Cardholder data is never collected, stored, or transmitted by Data Plus directly. All payment-card data is tokenized at the point of capture by Card Connect's certified infrastructure.
6 · Disclosures
Data Plus is compensated through a recurring residual share of processor margin paid directly by Card Connect on each merchant transaction. This compensation structure is disclosed to every prospective merchant prior to signing and is itemized in the merchant's proposal.
- Data Plus does not collect funds from merchants directly.
- Data Plus does not hold or have access to merchant deposits at any time.
- All marketing claims comparing Data Plus offerings to competitors are based on publicly available pricing as of the date of publication.
